DNA ethylating agent mutagenic in plants and animals and carcinogenic in mammals. It has been used as a model alkylating agent in studies of DNA repair processes.
溶解性：EMS is miscible in chloroform (200 mg/ml).
EMS can be diluted to a concentration of 1% in water
or serum-free medium and then added to a culture at a
final concentration in the range of 200-300 mg/ml.
