生物活性：
Mode of action: Gentamicin causes codon misreading by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit, blocking the translocation of peptidyl-tRNA from the acceptor site to the donor site.1,2 The bactericidal effect of gentamicin on Pseudomonas aeruginosa is exerted by the binding of gentamicin to the outer membrane, where it displaces natural cations, destabilizes the membrane, and forms holes in the cell surface.3
抗菌谱：革兰氏阴性菌，金黄色葡萄球菌等革兰氏阳性细菌

主要成分：由小单孢菌所产生，为一种多组分抗生素
　　性状：常用其硫酸盐，为白色或类白色结晶性粉末；无臭；有引湿性。在水中易溶，在乙醇、乙醚、丙酮或氯仿
　　功能主治：对大肠杆菌、产气杆菌、克雷白杆菌、奇异变形杆菌、某些吲哚变形杆菌、绿脓杆菌、某些奈瑟菌、某些无色素沙雷杆菌和志贺菌等革兰阴性菌有抗菌作用。革兰阳性菌中，金黄色葡萄球菌对该品敏感；链球菌对该品耐药。厌氧菌、结核杆菌、立克次体、病毒和真菌亦对该品耐药。近年来，由于该品的广泛应用，耐药菌株逐渐增多，绿脓杆菌、克雷白杆菌和沙雷杆菌、吲哚阳性变形杆菌对该品的耐药率甚高。对金葡菌及大肠杆菌，产气杆菌，奇异变形杆菌，绿脓杆菌等G－菌作用较强。
