Application
Catalyst for acrylamide gel polymerization.
Ammonium persulfate is a strong oxidizing agent frequently used with tetramethylethylenediamine (TEMED) to catalyze the polymerization of acrylamide in making polyacrylamide gels. Ammonium persulfate is used in a variety of applications that depend upon oxidation and photooxidation reactions.
性状 白色结晶粉末，具有强氧化性和腐蚀性，易溶于水，温水中溶解度增大，在水溶液中能水解成硫酸氢铵和过氧化氢，化学方程式为：
(NH4)2S2O8+2H2O=2NH4HSO4+H2O2
其干品具有良好的稳定性。120℃时分解。潮湿空气中易受潮结块。
